This Limited Lifetime Warranty is intended to provide customers with peace of mind by protecting against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship that may occur during the useful life of the product.

We design our products with durability in mind, using carefully selected materials and manufacturing processes to help ensure long-term performance. However, all products experience gradual wear through regular use. Exposure to environmental conditions, repeated handling, transportation, friction, and the passage of time can naturally affect the appearance and functionality of any item. Normal aging of fabrics, coatings, zippers, hardware, and other components is expected and should not be considered a manufacturing defect. The purpose of this warranty is to address issues resulting from defects in the original production of the product rather than damage associated with ordinary use.

Coverage under this warranty applies exclusively to eligible JanSport branded equipment, including backpacks, travel bags, totes, organizers, pouches, cases, and similar carrying products. If an eligible product is found to contain a defect in materials or workmanship during its useful lifetime, JanSport may, at its sole discretion, repair the item or provide a replacement product of comparable value and function. The selected remedy will depend on the nature of the issue, product availability, and the condition of the item submitted for evaluation.

To qualify for warranty consideration, products must remain substantially in their original condition. Coverage applies only to items that have not been significantly altered, customized, modified, or repaired by unauthorized parties. Any changes made to the original construction of the product may affect its performance and can prevent accurate evaluation of manufacturing-related concerns. For this reason, warranty protection is limited to products that preserve their original design and workmanship.

Certain categories of merchandise are not covered by this Limited Lifetime Warranty. Apparel, headwear, decorative accessories, promotional items, and similar non-equipment products are generally excluded from warranty protection. Examples may include shirts, hats, beanies, patches, pins, face coverings, and other accessory items that are not classified as bags or carrying equipment. Customers are encouraged to review product information carefully to determine whether a specific item qualifies for warranty coverage before submitting a claim.

This warranty does not extend to damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, improper storage, improper cleaning methods, exposure to harsh conditions, unauthorized repairs, or abuse beyond the intended use of the product. Cosmetic wear, fading, discoloration, stains, scratches, fabric abrasion, deterioration resulting from age, and other signs of normal use are also excluded. Additionally, damage caused by transportation incidents, animal activity, environmental exposure, or other external factors unrelated to manufacturing quality is not covered.

To begin the warranty evaluation process, customers should contact our customer support team and provide information regarding the product, including a description of the issue and supporting photographs when available. Additional details may be requested to assist in determining eligibility. Once the warranty request has been reviewed, customers will receive instructions regarding the next steps in the evaluation process.

Because each warranty claim requires careful inspection and assessment, processing times may vary. In many cases, customers should allow approximately four to six weeks for the complete warranty process, including review, repair, replacement consideration, and return shipping when applicable. While every effort is made to complete evaluations as efficiently as possible, processing times may be influenced by seasonal demand, product availability, shipping transit times, and other operational factors.
